My review on a Tate Modern exhibition

At Tate Morden in the exhibition of ‘Transformed Vision’ the room focused on was ‘Gerhard Richer’s Cage 1-6’ created by Mark Godfrey. The Theme and process of the pieces that was in the room were influenced by John Cage, as it was his music he was listening to when these compositions where composed and also named the pieces after. The piece were laid out in the sequence of 1-6, each one has been created in same treatment just in different directions and the use of different colours. The collection had really got my attention not just by the size of each one but the use of colours but the way each one creates a different mood such as reflections sounds and calming motions but all still pleasant to gaze at. As it would be difficult draw/Sketch one of these it’s an great influence to create one of your own. As it happens I had created a piece using a plate-knife with acrylics paints and I will be more than willing to use the same instruments and techniques as the artist has used.

Final day of textiles and fashion

From my designs I had come up with this . I use white paper and warpping paper. I had made a fan then creates a sort if leaf and rolled paper to hang from wire and also made origami flowers. I enjoyed making this as they came to life. If I was to improve I would have made the shoulder piece more dramatic adding more wire and leafs bits. I had asked my friend to be my model after taken photos it has seemed to me that it is like a wings but in a odd angle but also looked quite elegant .

Fashion and textiles

Once again manipulating paper to create garments , this time using paper to make 2-D and 3-D designs on the magazine models. For a blue model I has created a neck and arm piece another I have creates textures and shapes for the skirt and another elongated top

Finally after experimenting I choose a section of the body and create a garment . The pieces is done are delicate and flowery I added a few illustrations but I likes the 3-D designs better .

Fashion and textiles -Turing paper in to garments

After manipulating paper and made versions on a bigger scale we messed around on the manikins seeing what we could create .
This was a shoulder piece . Each side shows a contrast in size and number of items  used .
This was 'sexy' we shouted this have having a sort of top revealing and the neck piece being thick and also a tail, being animalistic can been seen as sexy.
This was in style of 'gothic ' this exaggerates a dark vampire sort if style. With the high collar emphasis on self contained personality and the skirt winged at back really creates a illusion of being alone and out of the personal space . This was my favourite .
This is a 'romantic' piece by layering the scored paper we has thought as a group that it would create depth also referring back to the Romantics they has used layering in there garments .
This is a hip garment , using a big version of paper men with a layer of a smaller version and with waves of paper on the side exaggerating the hip .
The final garment which included a shoulder and front piece. The word we uses for this is 'explosion '.

Fashion and textiles -paper

We had to manipulate paper either concentrating on structure , image and texture , I choose texture. For one I weaved newspaper and yellow paper strips into each other. Another way I has layer brown and yellow paper rolled the sides inwards then with sissors curl the the ends. Another I did an origami flower. I had also scored lines in to a rectangles then rolled it up . And for my final one I had used brown an green paper and stapled the ends.
Throughout the making I had come to realise I focus on a flower shapes . I was to change the way I had created some of the pieces I would have made different versions of each to see a better interpretation .

My 6 shot storyboard

The bride is running away and sees a boat so she gets in it with the help of a man who they float to the edge of a waterfall which they fall in and crash and die .
I had a lot of fun preparing this, first I had to fill the sink with water as well has make origami boats (3 in total). Also had to fill the bathtub with as much foam as I could so it would look like the bottom in the water fall.
In process of this a fly had died and the two tiny bare are soaked .
If I was to improved I would have taken more shots to make the story flow more also I would of got a plastic boat and made the scenery more realistic with more things in the background

The memory place - v&a

I loves this . It was as if the story open it self out within itself . Each piece that was shown had come from a different view. One of my favourites was a 3-D carriage and rider and 6 wolves carrying this carriage which is meant to be an ambulance in a animation way it has reminded me of Tim Burton work. I would  gladly go again.

My time line ! The day I was early

This is my time line of a morning I was an hour early. Using few words to describe my doings in the morning an what I was thinking. If I was to change anything I would make it bigger and add more nuts and tracks to it but to hold it all together . The reason for the nuts and the track is because it moves it as if the words should roll into each other keeping the day on the move . My inspiration was
This is where I got the nuts and the track because its what keeps it moving and playing

This was another piece by Anna and Elena Balbusso. This is very creative using the body to smudged into the scenery watching over the male. The use of similar colours create a mellow sad atmosphere .

This was created by Anna and Elena Balbusso. They had design on paper the the digitised so colour can be added. This has a spooky feel but u can see the thought if the scene with a the house an trees in the background and the 2 characters in background like ones being possessed.

Another piece by Anna and Elena Balbusso . I really like this because its unrealistic with human body's with animal faces except from one and a skeleton which is alive aswell as the owl/bird with a cat face . The posture of the face all point in one direction of the most unrealistic person out them all .

This was drawn by Minko Kwon , hand crafted by pencil and charcoal on tracing paper. This is a drawing of an organ with machines. It's very effective with the detail involved and the organ is an old musical instrument and the machine bits that has been put in has given it a different character

This was drawn by Minko Kwon , hand crafted by pencil and charcoal on tracing paper.  This is of a column and has been broken from the rest and found to have wire. Which is in the oppersite time to which these was made. The lines for construing this drawing haven't been rubbed out like they're blue prints, but I would think they are more effective then it they would be rubbed out .

This was drawn by Minko Kwon , hand crafted by pencil and charcoal on tracing paper. The shape of this piece is very Intresting  because it's unusualness . It looks like a person is sitting inside on it's side as if driving the machine . It brings different interpretation.

This was drawn by Minko Kwon , hand crafted by pencil and charcoal on tracing paper. It's as if this drawing trying to tell us that behind our face is a machine or will become one or even that our mine work as one . This is a effective piece it is so detail by combining a natural object and a machine it creates a interesting concept .

The future is here

This was picture that a laser have printed on (in not exactly sure not that it said ) wood , this have given a brilliant effect as it a picture of the woods/ forest and it's on wood. The grain of the wood has given the picture depth in the sky. As this  was created using a computer it has made the picture flawless.

Time capsule buried

I had buried a drawing of my 10 items an buried a birthday card from my sisters .
A ticket to watch fast and furious 6 and a travel card I used to go Thorpe park with . The experience was fun and enjoyable and to think in 10 years (most likely I would forget) it be something nice to look forward too . From the task I think next time I bury a capsule I should put it in a tin so I could put in more and be new of an experience .

Pieturi posti designed the conversation of 'Swallows and Amazons', 'Winter Holidays', ' Swallow Dale' and 'Peter Duck'. This was created digitally with a pen on a screen tablet and scanned texture that sweep of natural ink brush.
This caught my attention with the bold bits of orange against blue. Each use the same colours but creates a different mood with each cover.

The Future is Here - no need for hand made !

This was one of the pieces that was sitting on the shelves with other experiments. From the machines that was close by, I'm assuming it was laser that cut and made the markings on this material ( couldn't touch to inspect ).The  makings made was realistic , normally this is something I would come across as a handmade item. The detailed work has been created by patterns which has a big     effect on the face. I've wondered that if I was allowed to touch the markings it would've had a different texture to the the rest of the material .

The Future is Here - hell yeah it is !

Sadly I didn't see the caption for this, but stood there for a good 10 minutes watching. Amazed by the machines moving each piece to slot perfectly into the next slot (bare in mind not all pieces are the same size ) and choosing the exact piece without making a mistake.
